» Study Tours

Every year we welcome several groups of students who come to New Zealand to study as a group. Some groups want academic English, in preparation for study in High Schools, or in other courses. Other groups come on holiday, and want a combination of experiencing English in everyday using, and also doing some sightseeings.

We can design a programme to suit any group's needs, and budget.

  • How should anyone apply for a course?

Tour Organisers or travel agents should contact us to discuss their needs. We are approved by the Government to accept students as young as 11 years, although usually we would not mix them with older students.

  • What is the entry requirement for the course?

There is no particular entry requirement.

Some groups are “closed” – that is the students all stay together, and will have similar ability. Other groups will be “open” - that is the students will have a range of abilities, and will be spread amongst our other classes.

  • What is the structure of the course?

We design a course to meet the needs of the group. Often, it will include English in the morning, and sightseeing in the afternoon, with optional weekend activities.

  • What is the content of the course?

Usually, the English part will be general English, but it may be High School preparation, or Business English, depending on what the group wants. Any sightseeing part will be supervised by our own staff, usually of the same ethnicity as the group.

  • What does the program cover (inclusion & exclusions)?

Each program is tailored to the requirement of the group, and a price quotation is calculated.

Inclusions may include such things as:

    • FOC for one accompanying teacher
    • Airport pick-up and drop-off
    • Greeting, orientation & school visits
    • All texts and teaching materials
    • Homestay accommodation with NZ family
    • Farewell lunch party fee
    • Government Goods and Services Tax (GST)

    Usually the quote will exclude:

    • Extra optional activities on free days (if any)
    • Transportation to/from school if required
    • Travel Insurance for baggage and health
